SWIM INSTRUCTOR
Pay Range
$13.00 - $22.00 per hour
Hours & Work Schedule
Hours vary based on demand and instructors are assigned clients based on their location. A typical work week may consist of 5-15 clients and 10-20 hours a week.
Duties & Responsibilities
-
Create an educational and safe, yet challenging environment for student growth while adapting your teaching approaches to the age, experience and ability of participants so they can meet lesson objectives.

Plan lessons and log student's progress.

Always be aware of pool hazards and maintain constant supervision of student.

Be alert and ready to provide first aid or handle an emergency.

Participate in training sessions as required.

Develop and maintain positive communication and relationships with supervisors, students, and parents.

Quickly and efficiently responds to customer questions, comments, and concerns.

Promote and sell all H2O&U programs and services.
-
Immediately reports suspicious or inappropriate behaviors or abuse relating to youth.
Desired Minimum Qualifications
-
Minimum age of 16
-
Obtain a passing grade of 80% or better on any H2O&U trainings/tests required.

At least 1 year experience as a swim team coach or swim instructor.

Hold a current CPR and First Aid certification.
-
Posses a current driver’s license, insurance & reliable transportation.
-
Must be able to swim 500 meters and able to do each stroke/float.

Pass Background Screening + Evaluation.
-
Certified by accredited swim school - preferred.

Current Lifeguard certification - preferred.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

Ability to react to emergency situations by quick movements, strenuous activity, and on occasion assist or lift the person in distress of varying weights.

Required to remain alert to dangerous situations while sitting, standing, or walking of various lengths of time.

Ability to communicate verbally across distance in a noisy environment.

Exposure to UV light for extended periods of time, due to outdoor pools.
SWIM INSTRUCTOR
We are looking for reliable, responsible and dedicated self starters. As an H2O&U travel Swim Instructor, you will teach private, semi-private and group swim lessons to all ages and skill levels. You must be able to create a fun, positive learning environment, full of encouragement and growth. Additionally you must maintain strong customer relationships and keep track of scheduling and payments.
